The Philadelphia 76ers are looking a little different recently as they look to move on from a disappointing 2019-20 season. The team has made a lot of additions that they hope will help Ben Simmons and Cheap Joel Embiid Jersey move forward on offense.

They are also counting on the continued progression of a certain youngster who continues to catch the eye of his team and that is Cheap Shake Milton Jersey.

The young man had 19 points in Tuesday’s preseason win over the Boston Celtics and he looked very poised. He was able to run the team’s second unit and the pick-and-roll game with veteran big man Cheap Dwight Howard Jersey was encouraging to see.

“It’s been great,” Howard said of Milton. “He’s been really eager to listen and learn. I like how disciplined he is coming out of the pick-and-roll. He’s an awesome scorer so I’m super excited about playing with him in the pick-and-roll. He’s been doing a good job of getting downhill and making plays for himself and other people. So I think that pick-and-roll of me and him will be deadly. Especially with the second unit.”

If Milton can continue to take big steps forward such as this one, it will allow the Sixers to feel comfortable with being able to rest both Simmons and Embiid and still be able to receive some production. Howard will continue to produce as he always has and he will be somebody who the Sixers can count on, but if Milton can continue to progress, it will make a huge difference.

Another young Sixers guard, Cheap Tyrese Maxey Jersey, received some time on Tuesday and he had eight points and three assists in the fourth quarter. After a shaky start, he made a few floaters and he was a big reason why Philadelphia was able to hold off Boston late.

“I really like young fella,” Howard said with a smile. “When he first came in the game, I thought he was kind of moving a little bit too fast. They were pressuring them a lot. In a timeout, I kind of pulled them to the side I just told him to slow down. It’s okay to be fast, but don’t be in a hurry. Don’t allow the defense to dictate where they want you to go. No, you’re the ball-handler, you’re the point guard, you control everything on the floor, just slow down and read the game.”

The tough start can be attributed to the fact that he only had two practices with the team after battling COVID-19 and he then did not play until the fourth quarter. For him to bounce back in an impressive way is something that stood out to Howard.

“He went back out there, he slowed down,” the veteran added. “He started making plays, he got a couple of floaters off, some good passes. He got the offense running smoothly. I really like where his head is at. He’s very eager to learn, very disciplined, he’s always in the gym working. I’m very happy to see the progress that he’s had in such a short training camp but also having no type of summer league or anything like that.”

The Sixers now head to Indiana to face the Pacers on Friday to finish up the preseason.

As the Philadelphia 76ers continue to evaluate potential trade packages to acquire Houston’s James Harden, the question of whether the team would consider moving two-time All-Star Ben Simmons in exchange for Harden has been a central focus.

After previously reporting that Philadelphia was open to dealing Simmons, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey said the team is not considering trading Simmons.

“We are not trading Cheap Ben Simmons Jersey,” Morey said, per Charania. “He is an important part of our future.”

Morey’s statement falls in line with an earlier report from The Athletic’s Sam Amick, who reported that Simmons “remains off-limits” in any potential Harden deal, and that the team preferred to let new coach Doc Rivers work with the current roster.

Harden made his preseason debut on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with four assists in 21 minutes. Afterward, when asked about reports that the former MVP has requested a trade, Harden responded: “Right now I’m just focused on being here.”

Harden’s list of desired destinations is limited to contenders, with Philadelphia among a group that included Miami and Brooklyn. Houston is also engaging with those teams to try and reach a deal, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne.

On Wednesday, reports surfaced about Harden’s outsized role in the decision-making for Houston, from personnel decisions to the extracurricular traveling, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. Among other issues, Harden reportedly pushed for the departures of former coach Kevin McHale and teammates Dwight Howard and Chris Paul.

Harden, 31, has two years remaining on his contract, plus a player option for the 2022-23 season. The former MVP won the NBA scoring title for the third straight year last season, averaging 34.3 points, 7.5 assists and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid might be a quiet guy in real life. When he’s on the court, though, he’s the furthest thing from shy. From the start of his NBA career, Cheap Joel Embiid Jersey has established himself not only as one of the most dominant bigs in the game but he’s also notorious for being a trash-talker on the court as well.

Former Utah Jazz center Cheap Tony Bradley Jersey has experienced Embiid’s mind games firsthand this week as he joined the Sixers for training camp after getting traded a couple of weeks ago. Although Bradley made it clear the trash-talking doesn’t necessarily bother him when he’s on the court, he did get a chuckle out of one of Embiid’s tactics.

For the first three seasons of his NBA career, Bradley played for the Utah Jazz. Outside of three games last season, Bradley never saw the floor as a starter primarily because he was behind one of the league’s best centers in Rudy Gobert.

As Bradley has had the opportunity to learn under Gobert for the last few seasons, the young veteran center was grateful to compete against one of the best at the position in practice. Now that he’s in Philly, Bradley will compete against Embiid, who has made it clear he’s not the guy Bradley played against in Utah.

“The very first day we were guarding each other, and I think after we finished, he says something like ‘this isn’t Rudy [Gobert] — this ain’t Rudy,” Bradley explained. “I just laughed because it’s different.”

Bradley then went on to praise Embiid for how good he’s looked so far this offseason. While everybody around the NBA knows Embiid is one of the best at the big man position, experiencing his skills firsthand is an entirely different situation, which admittedly left Bradley shocked at times this week.

Cheap Dwight Howard Jersey said Thursday afternoon that his “infamous” tweet in the opening hours of free agency about returning to the Los Angeles Lakers — only to be followed a short time later by him agreeing to join the Philadelphia 76ers — was the product of a misunderstanding over whether he officially had an offer to return to the defending NBA champions.

“At one point, I did,” Howard said with a smile, when asked if he thought he had an offer in the opening hours of free agency. “That’s when you saw the infamous tweet, because I really thought I was going back. But it was no offer.

“And I understand it’s a business. The Lakers did what they felt was in their best interest, and I’m just very thankful for them giving me an opportunity to come back to L.A., and to just have an opportunity to win a championship.

“It’s very difficult, but everything happens for a reason. I’m super excited about my purpose on this team, and moving forward.”

Howard rejoined the Lakers on a non-guaranteed minimum contract last summer, after it appeared his career was potentially over after an injury-plagued season with the Washington Wizards saw him appear in only nine games. But Howard revived his career with a terrific season primarily playing off the bench in Los Angeles, and helped the Lakers win a championship in the bubble earlier this fall.

While Howard said he was excited to be in Philadelphia, he admitted it’s been a whirlwind to adjust to moving to a new city and playing for a new team less than two months after the Lakers won that title in Orlando on Oct. 11.

“It’s been a step,” he said. “Every day has been a step into a different direction. It’s very hard. I just finished playing with one team, and I was headed up here to Philly a couple days ago and trying to figure out what mask to wear, and all my masks said Lakers on them. I was like, ‘I can’t wear this anymore.’

“So, it was pretty tough, just the adjustment from being on one team and playing with this team for a full year … we played basketball from October to October, and then now I’m with the 76ers, so just the clothing, being in Philly, I’m just trying to take everything in. But I’m very thankful and blessed to be part of this organization, and it’s been great so far.”

Beyond changing masks, Howard said another challenge was trying to keep his body right after the rigors of playing, essentially, from October to October with the Lakers, and now trying to pick things up with the Sixers a short time later. Still, he said he isn’t concerned about the quick turnaround, and that he feels good about where his body is at heading into the new season.

“I try to keep myself in pretty good shape to get ready for this season,” Howard said. “I wasn’t expecting it to start so early, but I’ll be ready and the main thing is just being there for the young fellas and just trying to help them out right now.

“It [feels] like we finished playing. I tried to take some time off, get off my feet, but just had the urge to get back in the gym, get back on the court, and try to get another championship.”
